Job Description DAS Designer III About the role The DAS Designer III will join our group that focuses on DAS, ERRCS, and Cellular Networks. The role involves the design of in building cellular enhancement systems, neutral host DAS, and ERRCS. Ensuring compliance with industry standards as well as applicable codes and AHJ requirements. Providing technical guidance and support to departments within IES, conducting technical reviews, facilitating team communication, support customer interactions, and supporting operations in the deployment of designed solutions. Staying updated with advancements in technology and design practices is essential. What You Will Do Design solution driven and cost-effective cellular DAS and ERRCS systems for large enterprises customers using iBwave software. Build and coordinate relationships with equipment manufacturers, contractors, installers, integrators, and operations teams. Review design standards and specifications and produce solutions which meet or exceed the requirements. Produce and coordinate bill of materials (BOM) from the design for estimating and material acquisition. Collaborate with and support operations teams in the execution and changes update of project execution. Provide technical support for operations with site walks, commissioning, and optimization work. Manage designs, redlines, and mark-ups on projects; analyze reports, drawings, and calculations; organize and maintain project drawings and related information systematically. What You Will Need to be Successful Level III iBwave certification with a minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in iBwave related DAS design/integration. FCC General Radio Operators License. Highly experienced in neutral host carrier DAS design for large venues, data centers, campuses, etc. Field experience with DAS integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with fiber optic and category cabling and the application as it relates to DAS. Strong understanding of construction drawings and concepts with relation to DAS Design (e.g. floor plans, reflective ceiling plans, architectural plans, conduit routing and sizing per NEC, rack elevations, elevation details, power requirements, mounting details) Experience with design requirements integrating Neutral Host DAS into cellular base stations such as Ericsson and Nokia product lines. Experience with design requirements for DAS powerplant platforms. Strong understanding of complex Neutral Host DAS systems. Experience with multiple OEMs; knowledge of JMA, Corning, SOLiD, ADRF, CommScope, and Nextivity DAS platforms preferred. Certifications in JMA/TEKO, Corning, SOLiD, ADRF, CommScope preferred. Current knowledge of cellular carrier wireless technologies. Ability to professionally interact with clients, lead project calls, and direct teammates on design requirements. Min USD $130,000.00/Yr. Max USD $130,000.00/Yr.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

The Project Manager must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s). Must have proven problem solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). Must have proven high skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements. Must able to travel within branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. Must have the ability to learn Company and customer project management systems. Must be able to secure and maintain a Company sponsored American Express Card. Must be able to use the following trade Tools: punch tool with 110 block and 66 block blade, 6/8 position combo crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt-ohmmeter, 4-pair continuity tester and 5-gang punch tool. Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements: Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Must have experience in customer interface, such as liaison between the customer and the Company. Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing Distributed Antenna System projects. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project). Must meet Company minimum driving standards. Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, develop detailed associated tasks and manage these to final completion and customer turnover.
