Job Overview:

The Full Time Zero Waste Coordinator with APTIM, will be responsible to support our waste minimization team for public and private sector clients. You will be working on solid waste related issues including zero waste, waste minimization, sustainable materials management, organic waste diversion, and recycling.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Managing project preparation tasks that include coordination with solid waste haulers, transfer stations/landfills, field teams, and clients; setting up and managing project databases; schedule management, etc.

Participate in field work as needed to conduct waste characterization studies and visually characterize or hand- sort samples of waste, recyclables, and organics.

Perform data entry using APTIM's mobile waste data collection tool.

Perform quality assurance/quality control (QAQC) of client data including the use of spreadsheets and databases.

Interact with clients on scope of work and schedule.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred degree: Bachelor's Degre)

Must have at least 1+ years of experience being a Sustainability Waste Coordinator

Solid waste management training is a plus.

Experience in solid waste, waste minimization, or similar role is a plus.

Ability to manage multi-client commitments, schedules, and tasks.

Strong verbal and written communication, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to stand or walk on uneven surfaces and work outdoors, including in inclement weather. · Positive attitude, self-starter and comfortable working alone and with teams

Short term travel may be required to support project/program need.

Uses time effectively; anticipates obstacles, adjusts priorities as needs change and keeps others informed of progress.

Excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Plan, prioritize and monitor daily tasks and activities.

Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.

The targeted pay rate for this position is $26.45 - $32 per hour.
