Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to fill a critical role for a

Technical Trainer, Senior AssociateThis position is remote.The Technical Trainer will be responsible for the following:Prepare and/or conduct training programs, instruct classes, hold seminars and discussion groups.

Design and deliver programs to train all levels of personnel. Develop tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.Formulate teaching outline in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such training methods as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.Keep abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.Develop in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.Responsible for development of e-learning programs. Confer with management, employees and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.Select or develop teaching aids such as training guides, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.Facilitate the execution of all training programs.Monitor training costs and work with management to prepares budget reports to justify expenditures.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering to identify program needs, obtain technical data and schedules programs.May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.Travel may be up to 50%

Qualifications

Required:2 years with BS/BA; 6 years with no degreeCurrent Tier 5 SSBI favorably adjudicated clearance1+ years of experience in Curriculum Development or Training in support of the Federal Investigative Standards for government background investigations1+ years of experience using learning and development methods and adult learning theories2+ years using Microsoft Office suiteUS CitizenshipPreferred:Experience using learning and development methods, developing creative eLearning content, and familiarity with eLearning platforms and practices (i.e. Articulate Storyline, Captivate)Experience using a LMS as an instructor, including testing, user management and training, and course implementationExperience administering a LMS to include defining user roles and Ad Hoc Report building/generationExemplary communication skills required: written, visual, verbal, presentationAbility to multi-task and self-manage workloads and projects with a strong attention to detail

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
