Corporate Audit is looking for a data curious individual who has a unique blend of technical knowledge,
advanced modeling experience, research capabilities, and business acumen. This role will heavily leverage
demonstrated skills in risk modeling through data and analytics to analyze Delta’s top risks to provide strategic
insights for executive and business leaders. A successful candidate will be able to identify, acquire, and analyze
financial and operational data, generating reports accessible and tailored to Delta specific needs.
The candidate will play a key role in initially supporting the execution and delivery of Delta’s enterprise risk
management (ERM) framework. This position will have high visibility opportunities and requires exceptional
analytical abilities, strong communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to provide strategic insights to
leadership.
HOW YOU’LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
Design, develop, and optimize reporting and analytics using data models, GRC tools, Power BI and other analytics tools to generate insightful reports and visualizations for executive-level presentations.
Understand the needs of the business, prototype data analytics solutions and tools, deploy enhancements, and coordinate with relevant business units to ensure sustainable monitoring solutions.
Design, implement, and maintain a Key Risk Indicator (KRI) framework
Locate and extract data from internal and external sources for use in reporting, analysis, and statistical modeling.
Design and oversee administration of database structures to ensure data integrity controls and establish internal governance processes.
Assist with monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators, emerging risks, and industry trends in support of ERM risk assessments and scenario analysis
Audit data to ensure data accuracy and the processes are clearly defined; proactively identify and elevate solutions where inconsistencies may exist.
Develop and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and analyses to support divisional and operational leaders
Assist in researching and documenting business processes, workflows, and user guides for both technical and non-technical audiences and stakeholders
Be intellectually curious, ask questions, and contribute ideas
Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity and aggressive deadlines
Ability to support 10% international and domestic travel
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
3+ years of experience in risk analysis and quantification, statistical analysis, and data modeling

Familiarity/experience with some or all the following: Microsoft Suite, BI, SQL, SAS, R, Tableau, Python or other database interface tools and languages
Ability to extract/integrate large datasets and identify key insights to support business decisions

Advanced technical, quantitative, and organizational skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate insights to leadership through narrative and data visualization
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking with respect to cause-and-effect relationships
High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to strict confidentiality of sensitive material while promoting a strong risk culture within the organization

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in data science, business analytics, or information systems or related field. Master’s
Degree is desirable.
Advanced modeling and data science skills and experience
Experience with AuditBoard or other related GRC tools
Prior experience working with risk frameworks, modeling, analysis and visualization
