Our Retail Business Intelligence (RBI) team within ASO is looking for a resourceful, energetic Data Engineer to lead the data needs within projects by crafting creative solutions to deliver data to end users. Youll work with cross-functional teams to stitch data from various systems into unified, high-performance and low-latency reporting layers for end-to-end analyses of projects. Join us, and youll help provide the data needed for the organization to effectively manage the business and improve our customer experiences across the world.**Description**Working with a centralized team, this position plays a substantial role in designing and building tools, data layers, and end-user reports that the Retail organization uses to make decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with IT teams to build critical data pipelines, ad hoc data analyses, troubleshooting data and developing custom tools to visualize data. You will work on projects to: - Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. - Collaborate with business users to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive, visually appealing websites - Design frameworks to create and administer easy to use tools that support automation - Optimize website performance by implementing best practices for loading speed, including lazy loading, minification, and caching techniques. - Build web applications as well as re-usable modules to be used by other developers, and work on backend data architecture.**Minimum Qualifications**+ 4+ Years experience developing web applications+ Expertise with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and relational databases+ Expertise with Git, tracking multiple branches+ Expertise developing applications using relational databases: Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake+ Experience developing JavaScript modules**Key Qualifications****Preferred Qualifications**+ Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate in a global, matrixed team+ Proactive, driven self-starter with innovation, integrity, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail+ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, learning-oriented environment.+ Proactive in bringing new, innovative ideas to the table and inspiring change across projects, programs and processes+ Excellent problem solving and debugging skills with attention to detail+ Has the desire to build innovative tools that enable and simplify the workflow for other developers and end-users+ Flexibility to balance directional changes and ability to support multiple deadline-specific projects while maintaining day-to-day business support+ Ability to pick up new tech skills independently, stay on top of the latest technology and InfoSec rules+ Experience with Finance, Operations, Retail or Contact Center systems and data sets+ Strong business mindset - ability to grasp business needs, translate into technical needs; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders+ Experience in several of the following areas: application security, threat modeling, secure coding practices, vulnerability assessment, software development lifecycle (SDLC), security requirements analysis, secure tunneling protocols (IPSec, TLS, Etc.), secure architecture design, secure development tools and techniques, certificate-based authentication, encryption, secure development frameworks (e.g., OWASP SAMM), secure software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps), enterprise server administration and management at scale+ Understanding of accessibility (a11y) requirements for web based applications+ Experience with visualization tools and technologies like D3, Tableau+ Understanding of Linux administration+ Proficiency with other programming languages like Python, Rust, Java+ Ability to work with and build REST based applications**Education & Experience****Additional Requirements**+ Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
