Job Description:The Principal Software Engineer position is a role within the Asset Management Technology Data Service and Analytics team.You will be responsible for providing end to end data engineering solutions around capability improvements, short cycle enhancements and lifecycle initiatives including the migration of the data platforms to a cloud-based solution.You will be an escalation point of contact if support teams require assistance from Engineering.You will be responsible to design and help build robust data access layers required by multiple applicationsRoles and Responsibilities:
Develop data solutions to support Equity & High-Income Portfolio Management, Research and Reporting Products.If you have a passion for analyzing data, building innovative solutions, ensuring data quality and leading small development teams, this might be the right opportunity for you!Knowledge of Portfolio Management & Research concepts, and experience in the Asset Management and financial services business domainHands on experience in Data analysis, Data Modeling, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, ETL development using Informatica, UNIX and AutosysExperience working with cloud technologies and building solutions using AWS is strongly preferredDeep understanding of Data Movement and Data Warehousing conceptsExperience with SQL performance tuning, data modeling and coming up with optimal design for data storage and retrieval for both applications and batch processesExperience working as part of fast paced Agile Delivery teamsWorking knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using tools like Maven, Jenkins and uDeployA willingness to be a self-starter & take on challenging projects.
