As a full-time employee of Contour Airlines:You are eligible for health, vision, and dental coverage as well as short-term/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance policies. The starting annual salary for this position is between
$70,000.00
and
$80,000.00
depending on your prior work experience. Each year and based on your performance, you are eligible to receive an increase of up to 2.50%.You will be eligible for a signing bonus of
$5,000.00
paid within 30 days of your official start date. Summary of Essential Duties:
Responsible for management of the John C. Tune (JWN) location of Contour Aircraft Maintenance.Provides managerial oversight of A&P technicians in the production of retail maintenance for piston aircraft (Cirrus, Cessna, Piper, Beech, Mooney, etc.) and corporate turboprop and jet aircraft.Supports and fosters growth of the maintenance base with the creation of an AOG Support Team focusing on corporate aircraft line maintenance support.Communicates professionally and responds promptly to customers.Creates work packages and quotes for requested retail maintenance services.Generates invoices in a timely manner. Reconciles invoices with vendors and process to accounting department for payment.Ensuring airworthiness as defined within 14 CFR by researching permanent records, maintenance tracking program, FAA Airworthiness Directives and Manufacturers Service Bulletins/Customer Bulletins.Familiar working knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations, industry best practices, OSHA and IS-BAO requirementsComplies with internal company policies and procedures outlined within the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM) or any Company standard operating procedure document.Maintains a safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions.Performs quality maintenance, preventive maintenance and inspections to conform within the standards established by the Company, Federal regulation and industry best practices achieving the highest reliability goals.Responsible for management of the maintenance inspection requirements per CFR 91.409 or approved inspection program.Reviews and ensures all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with Company and FAA requirements.Updates and interfaces with computerized maintenance tracking program(s).Procurement of parts and materials.Perform maintenance planning along with the management oversight of inspections, repairs and modifications.Ensures timely scheduling of maintenance in order to least impact flight schedule and provide for high degree of aircraft availability.Proactively provides recommendations for modifications and upgrades, as necessary.Obtains vendor proposals for upcoming maintenance packages as required.Establishes contracts, publications, and subscriptions.Troubleshoot defective aircraft systems and components in an effective manner.Internal supervisory responsibilities for maintenance personnel. External supervisory responsibilities with third party vendors.Responsible for oversight of all hangar activities such as employee safety hazmat material handling and proper use of PPE and facility equipment.Ensures that necessary tooling and/or equipment is available to accomplish the assigned project/task.Provide daily weekly and/or over-all project status updates in a professional manner to senior management and/or customer.Responsible for accuracy of time and attendance/personal leave and billing tasks to customersSubmit engineering request as required.Recommend specific training for employee personnel and help determine attendeesPerforms special projects and other duties as assigned or requiredPhysical Requirements:

Two (2) years of college or equivalent technical training, in related field preferredFAA Airframe and Power plant license is required.Inspection Authorization (IA) desired.Ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance.Three (3) years or more of practical corporate aircraft maintenance experience.Thorough knowledge of maintenance planning, along with management oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications.Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required. Experience with CTA/FOS and computerized maintenance tracking software programs is desirable.Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA , state and federal regulationsAbility to work flexible hours and different shifts as needed including nights, weekends, holidays, etc.Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.Be at least 23 years of age.Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.Must understand, read, and write EnglishPossess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindsetPossess strong leadership and organizational skills.Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Able to handle interruptions and a fast paced environment.Maintain strong attention to detail.Be self-motivated and able to motivate othersExcellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalismMust pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.Able to pass a required 10 year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
