POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Support Specialist ("CSS") role is designed to provide both onsite/in-person clinical facilitation and remote administrative duties. In person, a CSS works with a clinician to facilitate care visits for patients. Remotely, a CSS works on administrative duties that include, but are not limited to, chart preparation and Behavioral Health Integration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Onsite Clinical FacilitationAssisting patients by offering education related to their behavioral health visits, whether the treating clinician is conducting the visit in person or via telehealthProviding technical support and assistance for telehealth visits to include room and equipment preparationSupporting clinicians by accessing vitals and other relevant data from the facility's EMRProcurement of patient referral documents as neededActing as a liaison between the clinicians and the facility staffInteracting with staff and/or family members as necessaryMaintaining responsibility for proper handling and cleaning of MediTelecare equipmentBehavioral Health Integration ("BHI")

Completing assigned number of BHI cases within the required timeline by gathering necessary information from patient medical records and entering it into the company's BHI system/software.Clinician Support

Providing assistance to assigned clinicians by accessing the facility's EMR and recording relevant data into our EHR system in preparation for the clinical visitWorking closely with the clinician to assure that patient visits run smoothly and efficientlyGENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

All Clinical Support Specialists are expected to perform all of the core functions as described above as assigned. Each individual role may change from time to time depending on scheduling, the needs of our facility partners, clinician needs, and changes in the healthcare industry.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSING:

Minimum High School Diploma required1+ year in a healthcare setting preferred, but not requiredMedical Assistant or CNA certification a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Basic working knowledge of medical terminologyExperience in the use of online healthcare toolsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, ExcelAbility to maintain full confidentiality and compliance with sensitive medical information, including but not limited to HIPAA protected information and PHI.Commitment to providing platinum-level customer service and communicationAbility to embrace a company culture of caring and kindnessPHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

A dedicated home office space with a closing door that is free from distractions and meets HIPAA and PHI standardsA reliable home internet connectionA valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportationThe ability to travel up to 1 hour in any direction from home office to cover clinics when neededAbility to stand, walk, see, speak, hear - both in person and remotely; use hands, fingers to type or use manual equipment, reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, bend, crouch. Specific vision requirements include close-up corrected visionMust be able to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs. without restrictionsAbility to remain sedentary for long periods of time while working on administrative tasksMay be exposed to bodily fluids, viruses or other infectious diseases within a healthcare facilityPotential exposure to cleaning chemicals used within a healthcare facility
