As a key leader on the Entec Operations Team, you will guide and support our Project Management and System Specialist (Field Technician) teams, driving success across a diverse portfolio of building automation projects. These include HVAC, access, and lighting control, energy management, and large-scale upgrades such as mechanical system retrofits and redesigns. In this role, you will oversee the execution of these projects from initial sale through installation and service, ensuring exceptional team performance, top-quality results, and high client satisfaction. As Director, you will champion operational excellence by implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, optimize project outcomes, and strengthen client and team relationships. This position demands deep expertise in building automation systems (BAS), the project construction process, and strong leadership in managing cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

Lead and mentor Project Managers and System Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiency, optimize costs, and enhance overall project and service performance.Collaborate with senior management to align team objectives with company goals and growth strategies.

Project Management Oversight:

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of building automation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.Monitor project performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement training and development programs.Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

System Specialist Oversight:

Provide leadership to the field technician team, ensuring timely and high-quality installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building automation systems.Monitor field performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement training and development programs.Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, addressing concerns and ensuring a high level of satisfaction with services.

Resource & Budget Management:

Manage resource allocation and project assignments to optimize team performance.Oversee budgeting and cost management for both project and service operations.Ensure efficient use of resources, including personnel, tools, and materials.

Collaboration & Communication:

Promote a team-first attitude among the field operations team and throughout the organizationAct as the primary liaison between field operations and other departments (e.g., sales, engineering, accounting) to ensure seamless collaboration and project success.Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.7+ years of experience in project management or field operations within the building automation or related industry.Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and delivering successful projects.Strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, and electrical systems.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite productsPMP or similar project management certification is a plus.What We Offer:

Salary Description

$110,000 - $140,000 annually
