About the Team:

The Director of Talent Acquisition (TA) is part of the HR Team at Obsidian and is responsible for building a scalable recruitment strategy to meet Obsidian's ambitious growth objectives. This role will develop the recruitment process, implement data/metrics to drive the TA function, and foster strong relationships across the organization. This role is pivotal to build a strong recruitment function to support the business's current and future scaling needs.

About the Role:

As the Director of TA, some areas you will work on include:

Strategic DevelopmentDevelop and execute a scalable recruitment strategy that aligns with Obsidian's rapid growth plansDesign efficient and repeatable talent acquisition frameworks, ensuring that recruiting processes can effectively scale as the company expandsBuild a comprehensive talent pipeline strategy to ensure a steady influx of top-tier talent, including technical, leadership, and niche talentPartner with senior leadership to understand growth strategies, anticipating and preparing for future hiring needsTA Operations

Optimize recruitment systems to maximize adoption and efficiencyEstablish data analytics to influence hiring processes and provide actionable insightsDrive operational excellence by refining internal workflows, improving metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, etc.) to enhance TA's overall efficiencyEmployer Branding, Candidate Experience & Diversity

Develop and lead Obsidian's employer brand strategy. Working with marketing and internal teams to build awareness, especially within cybersecurity and tech industriesImprove the overall candidate experience, ensuring a seamless journey from initial contact through onboardingBuild strong relationships with universities, job boards, and diverse talent networks to attract a inclusive candidate pool and build early career pipelineImplement diversity hiring initiatives to foster a more inclusive workforce. Develop partnerships with organizations that support diverse talent pipelines and track hiring metrics to ensure progress on DEI goalsLeadership & Team Building

Lead and mentor a high-performing TA team to manage hiring needs across a wide range of functions and global geographiesCoach team members to excel in sourcing for hard-to-fill, niche and technical rolesCollaboration with Leadership & Stakeholders

Work closely with the executive leadership and department heads to ensure alignment between TA efforts and the company's strategic objectivesRegularly report key metrics and progress to senior leadership, providing insights into hiring performance and areas for optimizationExecutive Recruiting

Develop and lead the overall executive recruiting strategy to identify and engage C-level, VP, and Director-level talent across multiple functions.Lead executive-level offer negotiations, ensuring competitive and attractive compensation packages that align with company goals and market standards.About You:

10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with 5+ years in a leadership role, ideally within fast-growing companies, particularly in the cybersecurity or tech sectorsProven ability to scale recruitment functions in high-growth environments, including experience with global hiring and distributed teamsStrong understanding of ATS tools, recruitment technologies, and data-driven recruiting strategiesExperience building strong employer brands, managing recruitment marketing, and delivering exceptional candidate experiencesDemonstrated success in leading diversity hiring initiatives and fostering inclusive hiring practicesExceptional communication skills, with a successful track record of collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersEmployee Benefits:

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
