Reference #: 4021 At RK&K, we are hiring a Project Delivery Leader in Traffic to support existing clients and support the development of new clients and efforts firm wide. As a senior member of our Firmwide development team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation, primarily focused on project across RK&K's overall current and new service areas. As a Traffic Project Delivery Leader with RK&K you will support public agencies on traffic analysis and design engineering programs throughout our current and future portfolio. This role can be remote with required travel as needed to the project location. Essential Function Perform a variety of tasks, including transportation planning studies, traffic operations analysis, traffic engineering design plans and preliminary engineering design Support projects for all modes of travel including highway, bus, rail, bicycle and pedestrian in urban, suburban and rural environments Complete studies and develop high quality traffic reports with limited direction and be able to clearly, professionally present that information to our clients on site and virtually Prepare documentation and design plans for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) Utilize traffic analysis/simulation tools to perform traffic modeling and simulations Prepare technical reports and presentations Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans Direct project staff and sub-consultants Serve as liaison between client and firm Execute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design work Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Traffic Engineering field Required Skills and Experience Ten (10) + years of progressive experience in traffic engineering Exceptional writing, verbal communication and presentation skills including public speaking Experience with Highway Safety Manual, Highway Capacity Manual and AASHTO guidelines Advanced experience with Synchro/SimTraffic and VISSIM (or simulation analysis softwares) Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain within six months.
