Your Impact at SAM

We are seeking an experienced Building Information Modeling (BIM) Manager to lead our BIM projects and drive innovation in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient with the Autodesk suite, particularly Revit, and have a strong background in AEC 3D modeling software. You will build trust with clients, manage project timelines and budgets, and develop internal BIM standards while fostering a positive team culture. Your responsibilities will include:

Allocate ~30% of your time to management and 70% to billable 3D modeling

Foster strong relationships with customers to understand BIM project scope and details

Manage projects from kick-off through client delivery while ensuring timelines and budgets are met

Collaborate with sales and leadership to expand business development, efficiently bid on BIM projects, and execute projects on time and within budget

Create internal BIM standards and ensure they are adhered to

Hire, build, and mentor a team aligned with SAM’s culture and core values

Facilitate weekly meetings to address questions and resolve problems on projects related to software and BIM coordination issues

Develop document workflows, best practices, and QA/QC processes

Monitor projects for errors and ensure BIM model maintenance and standards are met

Maintain and upgrade BIM drawing templates, coordinating templates with each specific trades for integration with other disciplines

Manage REVIT and other related BIM libraries

Achieve a standardized process for BIM model setup across the division

Assist in creating and enforcing BIM execution plans

What You Bring to SAM

10+ years of experience with Autodesk products, with high-level Revit proficiency

Experience with AEC 3D modeling software (Autodesk Revit, Recap and/or Tandem) is required

Background in Architecture, certifications such as AIA and NCARB highly preferred

Strong aptitude in facilities management through BIM

Strong BIM Modeling skills with knowledge in all AEC disciplines; architectural, structural & MEP

Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to identify and correct project issues

Ability to lead BIM project teams and collaborate on 3D modeling to deliver projects

Experience developing and maintaining office Revit/CAD standards

Knowledge of AIA LOD specifications & USIBD LOA Specifications

Understanding of engineering and architectural documentation and construction practices

Motivated to take on additional responsibilities and seek out new opportunities to drive improvement

Strong planning skills to anticipate project needs and organize activities

Sense of ownership and accountability for project, team, and company success
