We are looking for someone with experience ensuring that code meets all functionality and acceptance criteria and experienced Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic Vehicle Software Team. The Opportunity ... As a Software test automation lead engineer at JBT, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the automated testing system for vehicle software. You will work with the development team to design and execute test plans, identify and report defects, and contribute to the improvement of our software development processes. Additionally, you will help managing the test environment, both on PC and on the vehicles. Responsibilities: Understand existing and future SW development strategies and create an automated test framework that supports all efforts Recommend and implement tools to facilitate creation and usage of test scripts Promote "automation first" mindset through the software development teams Implement and maintain build testing pipeline Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system and software requirements and design test plans. Develop and execute test cases and automated scripts to ensure the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications on PC and vehicles. Set up and maintain the test environment, including PC-based testing tools and vehicle-specific testing equipment. Identify and document software defects and work closely with the development team to resolve them. Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases on both PC and vehicles. Perform exploratory testing to uncover any hidden issues or potential areas of improvement. Help design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools for both PC and vehicle testing. Document test results and provide recommendations for improvements. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Software Test Engineer, Software QA Engineer, Software Test Automation Engineer, or in a similar role. Experience testing embedded software and/or Real-time operating systems. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with Jenkins, Github, CI/CD pipelines, and/or automated build testing a plus. Experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases on both PC and vehicles. Ability to set up and maintain the test environment, including PC-based testing tools and complex embedded testing equipment. Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems like XRay. Demonstrated proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools Experience reviewing code to find and address potential issues and defects and ability to identify software defects.
