Clean Harbors is looking for an InSite (Hazardous Materials) Project Manager to join their safety conscious team! This team member is responsible for the successful execution and profitability for environmental projects of client's environmental program at a variety of customer locations. Will lead and manages a team of employees in supporting the execution of program. The InSite Project Manager serves as primary customer contact for projects, write and submit all work plans, document site activities, change orders, provide field directives, complete, and assist in the scoping and pricing for proposals at our client site in Bend, OR.

* Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5!* Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment* Group 401K with company matching component* Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career* Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement* Positive and safe work environments* Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.* Establish baseline audit protocol for all new waste programs; Communicate and document scope of compliance parameters for each Project location.* Work with Program Director, site Program Manager, and other company resources as needed to provide follow-up and to ensure that corrective actions are tracked; Disseminate "Lessons learned" for benefit of program and internal company audience as appropriate; Provide written documentation of audit results and corrective action plans.* Proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiently and maintain compliance.* Transport and store wastes from satellite areas to waste storage area and ensure that each is properly packaged, profiled and labeled prior to shipment.* Perform other duties as assigned* Other Duties as Assigned* Acts as lead for special chemical waste pickups by request from the InSite Contact* Coordinates Intra-Campus chemical transfers* Performs weekly hazardous waste inspections in 90 day Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area (HWAA)* Ensures the HWAA area(s) are kept clean and compliant* Reports all issues of 90 day HWAA non-compliance to InSite Contact* Supports InSite Technicians as needed* Assists Lab personnel in waste management decisions* Supports High Hazard chemical inventory , pick up, storage and processing operations* Acts as lead contact for special waste shipments (tank waste removal, lithium shipment, etc)* Surveys labs and waste service points for non-compliant issues and reports them to InSite Contact* Maintains daily waste supply deliveries and Spill kit Supplies* Coordinates special waste chemical pickups and packaging* Performs chemical waste pickups in assigned building(s)* Performs Biowaste pickups in assigned building(s) and or designated areas as needed* Acts as lead coordinator for all waste shipments
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related disciplines preferred;* 5+ years experience in environmental* Cost estimating and computer experience;* Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously* Strong customer management skills.* Experience with hazardous waste programs a PLUS;* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills a must;* Record keeping and organizational skills;* Proficient with Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).* Ability to work with little or no supervision.* .Leadership Skills/* Working knowledge of Profit and Loss Management.* Working knowledge of Safety.
