Position Summary

The U.S. Personal Bank delivers a wide array of banking, payments, lending and investment services to individual consumers and small businesses. Marketing & Franchise Development team is focused on Digital Acquisitions and Digital Sales transformation while enabling next-gen existing customer evolution. We are seeking a senior level SEO specialist to join our team. The SEO Specialist will own the execution roadmap for the company’s organic growth, across Cards, Retail Banking, Lending, Investing and Wealth management strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional in SEO space to drive forward the organic growth of Citi and take the business into the future amidst the rise of Gen AI and a continuously evolving search.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement SEO strategies that align with Marketing goals and Product roadmaps.

Lead and own the SEO scorecard KPIs that Citi will use to define end-state success while leading with a Performance Marketing mindset.

Lead concurrent SEO initiatives focused across three pillars, Content, Keywords and Technical SEO.

Conduct keyword research to identify the most relevant and popular keywords for the company's target audience focusing on Non-Branded and Branded keywords.

Optimize existing website content for search engines, including title tags, meta descriptions, and headers.

Enhance content across Lines of Business/Products to maximize opportunities for indexing, ranking, click-through and conversion.

Build SEO reports and dashboards that will be shared across the organization.

Collaborate with 3rd party SEO vendors as it pertains to the Enterprise SEO toolkit.

Work directly with Product partners and Legal to plan & implement SEO strategies that align with internal KPIs and marketing goals.

Assists with audits of site, QA of digital properties to ensure proper construction/ maximized visibility.

Analyze online financial ecosystem, search engine results to identify competitive SEO opportunities within each Product line.

Provide thought leadership as it relates to the growth of SEO at Citi.

Maintain a close partnership and high level of synergy with Product, Technology, Operations, and Legal partners among others to progress overall objectives.

Qualifications

6+ years of proven SEO experience in optimizing technically complex websites across Financial services, eCommerce companies.

Understanding of technical SEO skills, including ability to evaluate HTML and JavaScript for SEO purposes and make recommendations.

Experience with SEMRush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner, Google Search Console, and other SEO Tools.

Experience with Adobe Analytics to ensure end-2-end funnel conversion tracking and Jira, Confluence tools to ensure Agile Project management.

Understanding of search engines, spiders, and ranking criteria.

Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Thrives in a fast-paced team environment that values accountability, continuous learning, and agility.

Comfortable working in a small, lean team that requires active participation and high productivity.

Understanding of Consumer Banking products, passion around emerging technologies and how they will change consumer experiences.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
