About Citi’s Public Affairs Team

Enterprise Services and Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble group in Enterprise Services and Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce of more than 200,000 colleagues. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the Enterprise Services and Public Affairs team across the world.

About the Role:

The Communications Lead for Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions is a key member of the Services communications team within ESPA. You will work with senior leadership and partners throughout Citi’s Services business and ESPA to drive increased awareness for Citi’s TTS solutions, platforms and views both externally and within Citi. This role reports to the Global Head of Citi Services Communications.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Global Head of Liquidity Management, Head of Digital Assets and Head of Digital and Data Platforms among other key Services leads to create a comprehensive communications strategy for both internal and external audiences

Partner closely with communications leadership and teams to inform and advise on both ongoing communications work and areas of opportunity

Work with the team to maintain, strengthen and/or build relationships with business, finance, tech, trade and other niche sector reporters

Partner with the Services leadership team on social media strategy and execution

Work as a collaborative partner within the firm as well as with key external partners

Develop and maintain a robust understanding of Global competitors and industry at large

Provide support on issues management to protect Citi’s brand reputation

Utilize data and analytics tools to generate insights and showcase business impact

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications

At least 10 years of increased responsibility, preferably within a large and complex organization

Knowledge of financial markets

Strong relationships with broadcast and print media

Exceptional writing skills

Skilled in planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities

Comfortable working in a fast-paced corporate environment with sensitive information

Takes initiative, anticipates next steps and sets high standards in all he/she does

Strong relationship management skills and experience working with stakeholders cross-functionally and globally

Creative, thoughtful approach to work product and regularly brings forward new ideas

Persuasive when presenting to larger groups or in regular meetings, both internally and externally

Integrity, maturity, dependability and a positive professional attitude

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
