We're looking for a Systems Integrator in San JoseSanta Clara, California to join our team who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art industrial and commercial facilities. You’ll be supporting the technical quality and functionality of challenging facility engineering support tasks, primary focus is programming of facility programmable logic controllers (PLC) for control and monitoring of the core and shell functions to critical system gas safety monitors and controllers. You’ll provide on-site assistance during startup and testing activities, coordinate with team members, and take direction from the discipline lead. The role has opportunity and growth to work with our team in other highly complex systems, including gas detection design and engineering, gas cabinet monitoring, PLC system design, IT development, and furthering as a system integrator. The team is multi-discipline and highly interactive producing facility core and shell solutions for one of the leading semi-conductor tool manufacturers in the world. Minimum of Associate of Applied Science Degree from an accredited program in the field of Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Information Technology or related.

At Least 3 years of Industrial System Integration Experience

Ability to work independently.

Proficient in using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Access, Outlook and Excel.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Experience with any or all Cimplicity, Rockwell, Ignition automation packages.

Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including cable termination and IP addressing.

Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.

Understanding of industrial automation protocols, (Modbus RTU/TCP, etc.)

Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting.

Understanding of diagrams and schematics as related to controls systems, networking, electrical and mechanical.

User level experience with AutoCAD computer drafting software.

This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, CA.

Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours - nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.

Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidate.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.

Authorized to Work:

Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a Visa for this position.
