Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages overtime and unit staffing for all nursing staff based on budget, patient acuity and census on a daily basis

Communicates staffing decisions to Nurse Managers of concerned area

Ensures agency nursing staff is in appropriate units at the scheduled time

Responds and intervenes in all emergency situations

Coordinates all staff nurse sick calls and communicates information to the manager of concern.

Responsible for the notification of on call staff

Responsible for coordinating after hour procedures

Acts promptly and decisively to address problems that arise throughout the house

Serves as administrative/management representative at all times

Qualifications

Education Level

Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Licensure/Certification

Texas Registered Nurse License

BLS

ACLS

PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer

TNCC Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to work with other departments

Experience working with people of different skill, experience and educational background

Provides patient teaching based on the patient teaching plan.

$35.12 - $50.92 /hour
