Working within the limits of authority and within company policies and procedures, manages location functions. Functions include quality, shrink, productivity, safety, building, grounds, equipment and personnel development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Responsible for providing strategic direction, management and support for all plant activities and procedures.

Ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, OSHA, industry, trade and jurisdictional standards, practices and codes.

Reviewing quality issues with products or installations and making recommendations with QA, Engineering or Director support if needed.

Reviewing monthly financial results to understand performance to budgets.

Ensuring controls are in place and working to ensure effective, economical and efficient practices.

Responsible for managing talent for the purpose of developing bench strength and creating opportunities for employees to grow and advance.

Clearly communicating expectations for all plant employees.

Conducting evaluations for direct reports at least once a year.

Responsible for providing a safe work environment for all plant employees.

Responsible for ensuring plant compliance to company policies and procedures.

Responsible for ensuring plant compliance to all government and environmental laws, requirements and regulations.

Responsible for ensuring that endeavors to reduce plant customer complaints are ongoing.

Responsible for providing leadership through ongoing communications to plant employees and to Corporate personnel.

Responsible for managing plant processes and actions within accordance of the labor agreement. Also, responsible for directing plant advertisements during labor negotiations.

Responsible for governing plant Capital expenditures by monitoring justification analysis and policies and procedure compliance.

Required Qualifications :

High school diploma

8 years experience in Dairy/Food manufacturing

Knowledge of accounting controls, financial analysis and budget planning.

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people

Demonstrated ability to evaluate the performance of direct reports

Ability to think analytically

Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing

Ability to manage time effectively, including delegating responsibility when appropriate

Must show enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work and a commitment to the organization and its mission.

Good computer skills, demonstrating proficiency in MS Windows, Word and Excel.

Good human relations skills, ability to work well with others and be a team member.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Business discipline with 10 years Dairy plant experience.

Salary Range: $142,074.00 to $213,111.00 USD

*The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, in addition to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
