The Production Manager will coordinate production activities, ensure lean and cost-effective processes, and maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Visit interstates.com/connect ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Key Responsibilities:Customer and Supplier Relations:Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and Interstates leadership through visits and personal contact.Focus on meeting customer needs and requirements, implementing processes for product delivery follow-up and customer satisfaction.Develop and implement improvements in production based on customer feedback.Team Development and Leadership:Coach and mentor direct reports to fulfill their professional potential.Cultivate a people development ethic at all operational levels.Strategic Planning and Budgeting:Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.Engage in overall strategic and tactical planning processes.Lead production goal setting on all improvement projects.Production Oversight:Provide final oversight and responsibility for all expense accounts, including material, machine, tool, and fleet purchasing.Manage hiring, promotion, and compensation activities within the production group.Oversee production team leadership, scheduling, supply levels, maintenance programs, and logistics.Develop production standards and drive continuous improvement across operations.Safety and Quality Management:Ensure safe operations throughout production facilities.Collaborate with the safety delivery team to implement safety procedures for equipment, tools, and team members.Monitor productivity rates, implement quality controls, and oversee health and safety in projects and services.Collaboration and Communication:Build bridges between the production unit, other production units, and various Interstates teams.Drive collaboration with marketing, sales, and estimating delivery teams.Ensure effective communication methods and resource coordination.Project Management:Participate in month-end project status reports with project managers.Engage in post-job reviews, celebrate successes, and disseminate lessons learned.Assist project managers for high-profile manufacturing customer projects as needed. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily.
