Director, People Business Partners (Tech Organization)
As the Director, People Partners for the CTO organization, you will be a strategic advisor and partner to the Chief Technology Officer and their leadership team. This role is critical in aligning HR strategies with the unique needs of a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Your expertise in HR will help drive organizational performance, foster a culture of innovation, and support the CTO organization in achieving its technological and business objectives.
Your impact:
Strategic Partnership: Function as a strategic HR partner to the CTO and technology leaders, providing guidance on aligning people strategies with the technological roadmap and business objectives.
Organizational Design & Workforce Planning: Lead organizational design and workforce planning initiatives tailored to the needs of technology teams, ensuring scalability and agility in a rapidly evolving environment.
Culture & Innovation: Partner with the Tech organization to foster a culture of continuous innovation, emphasizing talent development in key areas such as AI, software engineering, and digital transformation.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR analytics and data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes, particularly in workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies within the technology sector.
Change Management: Support business unit change initiatives, providing strategic change management guidance to ensure smooth transitions and the adoption of innovative technologies and processes.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Champion DEI initiatives within the CTO organization, ensuring that the tech teams reflect diverse perspectives that drive innovation and excellence.
People team Program Implementation: Manage and support the implementation of our People programs such as employee engagement surveys, talent reviews, and succession planning, ensuring they meet the unique needs of the technology teams.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws and regulations, particularly as they relate to the complexities of a remote and geographically distributed workforce.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence and other People BPs to deliver superior results to the business, ensuring consistency and alignment in HR service delivery.
Team Leadership: Coach and mentor People Business Partners within the CTO organization, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the evolving needs of the business.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a strategic People Business Partner role.
Experience leading and managing a team of HR professionals.
Strong understanding of the technology sector with the ability to align HR strategies with technical objectives and support the unique needs of the tech teams.
Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence with senior leaders.
Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into effective HR strategies and initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with business leaders and drive results through collaboration.
Solid understanding of federal and state labor laws and regulations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a demanding environment.
