Job SummaryThe Pharma Solutions business will be taking on its next chapter of growth as a trusted partner for thepharmaceutical industry with the announcement to sell Pharma Solutions to Roquette. This move will position Pharma Solutions to expand its industry leadership through continued investment in innovation to meet the evolving needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers and developers worldwide.
The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2025, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Pharma Solutions business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to Roquette. The Global Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team is looking for an experienced Environmental and Remediation Manager supporting the EHS council strategy and objectives related to EHS policies and procedures. Ensuring regulatory and internal compliance at IFF sites aligned with the Company Culture & Core values, principles and expectations.
The Manager will be responsible for the integration and management of the internal EHS policies, developing and implementing strategies which improves upon existing EHS programs, meets regulatory requirements, and delivers business results. Developing, leveraging,& implementing an effective management of change and compliance program which includes operational discipline.

Leader must be agile, flexible & collaborative.To establish world class safety performance, the following responsibilities and qualifications are required:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage the environmental competency team as part of the Global EHS.* Cascade and provide recognition of the Global EHS strategy and objectives (performance data) to our global sites.* Develop a master plan in accordance to the overall EHS strategy around our drive for environmental excellence.* Build and implement a strong policy management system.* Develop, implement, and maintain a strategy and execution plan delivering EHS Site Support which includes tracking permit requirements, documentation and compliance calendar.* Ensure regulatory and internal compliance including assurance of effectiveness via internal integrated audits.* EHS priority setting through understanding focus sites and areas based on risk management. Support / Input the environmental data into the risk profiling tool building model.* EHS Incident/Deviation Management investigation & improvement, assist with site reporting. Leveraging via training & networking.* Support continuous EHS performance improvement via MOC (management of change) and compliance program including document control of environmental related matters.* Site Support of internal & external audits and prepare manufacturing & lab locations for these audits.* Assist the corporate ISO 14001 certificate. Work with ongoing site compliance. Assess manufacturing sites joining the corporate certificate assuring compliance via a solid workplan.* Global EHS support of global certifications.* Global EHS support of site remediation, divestitures, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).* Understanding new technologies supporting sustainable solutions for the manufacturing sites. Partnering with the sustainability team if required.* Manage third party environmental requirements as part of the EHS strategy.* Manage budgetary responsibilities as it pertains to the role.* Mentoring - Lead employee training and development programs regarding environmental and remediation programs that promote employee ownership.QUALIFICATIONS:We are looking for a leader with proven capabilities and a relevant educational background related to Environment, Health and Safety.* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College / University in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management or related discipline.* Minimum 5 years practical EHS experience regarding auditing & compliance.* Strong written and spoken English communication skills, both formal and informal

The ideal candidate should be practical and solutions driven, helping sites to be successful in maintaining internal & external compliance. The future leader should be analytical, systematic, flexible, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
