RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop print publications and multimedia content including video, still images, digital graphics, web products, news and feature stories, blogs and press releasesOperate and maintain state-of-the-art photography and video equipmentConduct research and identify target audiences, analyze data and provide feedback to leadershipIdentify communication issues and come up with solutions based on researchWork directly with local news media organizations to release stories and develop public relations campaignsConduct ship and base tours for high-profile individuals and foreign dignitariesAssist and work within oversight of Public Affairs Officers
Senior MC Responsibilities
Advise and prepare unit commanders for media interaction and press conferencesDevelop content strategies and create data storiesSpeak to the press on behalf of the command

These roles perform a variety of duties worldwide, at numerous overseas and stateside shore commands, aboard surface ships, aircraft and submarines. They generally divide time between assignments ashore and afloat.
PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Sailors in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
