Shift Supervisor
role supporting the Consumer Products Operation located in St. Marys, Georgia. A board extrusion plant with 50 hourly employees, the St. Mary's facility is integrated with Dixie Cup products manufactured in Lexington, Kentucky.
Our TeamThis role will support our rotating shift crews and will be responsible for the coaching of hourly employees. Scheduling options will be determined to ensure coverage on day and night shifts. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a passion to provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching talent to achieve sustainable results.
What You Will DoImprove Operations Excellence efforts and both department's competitive position relative to risk reduction, compliance, quality, reliability, cost, transformation, and capital deploymentDevelop team members into Principled Entrepreneurs through an effective organizational structure, including Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations connected to the facility visionBuild and support a culture where employees identify risks and work to reduce themPartner with safety professionals to develop strategies and champion a safe work environmentAccelerate training and verification process of team membersCoordinate with and advise the Product System Leader on operations strategy and implement changes as needed to embrace the sites ownership-based work systemCollaborate with leaders on site and key customers to enhance processes and achieve the facility vision, ensuring effective communication within a diverse workforceWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Proven experience leading successful operations teams in a manufacturing, military, or industrial environmentKnowledge and experience with reliability systems, work processes, implementation, and continuous improvementsExperience leading and developing a team, crew, shift and/or departmentWhat Will Put You AheadBachelor's degree or higher in EngineeringLeadership experience working within a paper/pulp, or converting manufacturing environmentExperience managing and engaging a team in continuous improvementExperience in the Paper Industry, Converting, or Extrusion processesProject management experienceExperience working and leading in a union environmentExperience using Kronos and/or SAP or other CMMS
