Proactively implement and promote Loews Hotels Brand programs to local media, serving as a liaison between the hotels and the community through strategic communications and social media engagement.Accountability:Brand Awareness/ Compliance and Hotel AwarenessPositive tone of VoiceCopy WritingPhotography//ContentSocial MediaMedia RelationsDriving messaging/PR around the 3 Rs (revenue, reputation and relevance)Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute PR and social media strategies for the hotels, keeping the hotels positioning and brand top of mindBe the creator and gatekeeper of all copy and content for the hotelsCreate newsworthy promotions and story ideas to include F&B, spa, family, leisure, weddings, group and other topics that are relevant to the hotelsComprehensive management of social media, encompassing both strategic planning and execution.Promote Good Neighbor promotions or eventsDevelop and maintain hotels media materials and press areas of the Loews Hotels websiteDistribute media releases for each hotels key markets on both national and local levelsKeep abreast of consumer and trade media interests to better capitalize on publicity opportunities.Maintain strong media relations with local and regional journalists and pitch hotel effortsCreate media personalities within the hotel staff i.e. GM, chefs, concierge, etc. to generate positive exposure for the hotel. Train staff as needed to appear on camera or be interviewedParticipate with local CVBs to stay current on destination promotional efforts, and host journalist requests when appropriateDevelop relationships with organizations and businesses within key markets that support and enhance PR effortsLiaise with onsite contacts about media visits and requestsManage all media inquiries, press visits and onsite productionsMonitor all forms of media (TV, radio, online and print), report on media mentions and share best media coverageResponsible for media relations in the event of a crisis at the hotel. Prepare and keep thecrisis plan current.Become an advocate of the company by nurturing relationships with key influencers in the community and work with local PR efforts to maximize reachDevelop monthly reports in a timely efficient mannerRegular attendance in conformance with standardsMay be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needsRequired to attend all training sessions and meetingsSupportive Functions and ResponsibilitiesWork with marketing on partnerships with a newsworthy focus which fall under thehotels positioning and brand strategyOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequired:Excellent written and oral communication skillsMinimum of seven-plus years in public relations with a lifestyle or hospitality brand or a PR agencySelf-starter with strong organizational and leadership skillsCreativityStrong understanding of various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn) and their best practices.Experience with community management and building online relationships.College DegreeExcels in afast-paced work environmentAble to work aflexible schedule including some weekends and holidaysPreferred but not required:Knowledge of Hotel and Food & Beverage operationsGeneral Knowledge of all Hotel departments
