Position Description:
The Mining / Crushing Supervisor role is located at our mining and processing site in Mountain Pass, California, approximately 50 miles south of Las Vegas. The Mining / Crushing Supervisor manages and coordinates necessary mining and crushing employee assignments in a safe and efficient manner to achieve established mine plan objectives within approved budgets, company guidelines and legal requirements.
Essential duties:Interfaces with various departments as necessary to successfully execute safe mining and crushing production along with heavy equipment projectsOrganizes and oversees execution of mine plan and daily maintenance interactionTaking part in developing mining / crushing policies and standardsCoordinating operator development training with focus on, safety procedures, and methodsCommunication and tracking of maintenance work orders and production ordersOversight of construction & development projectsSupervision of mining / crushing crew employeesTroubleshoot and provide corrective solutions to any safety and production impactsAssist short range planning and survey with timely execution clean up and site preparationResponsible for motivating personnel to accomplish company objectivesConducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructivePlan and direct mining operations in a safe and efficient manner to ensure equipment's operability levels to achieve safe production goalsCollects and enters production data for reporting KPI's, productivity, and performanceReviews employee timecard accuracy, fixes errors, approves according to payroll scheduleReview mining / crushing activities and work performance to ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state safety regulations.Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years' experience in mining / crushing operations or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceMinimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience preferredExcellent time management and organizational skillsHigh School Diploma requiredValid Driver's License and a good driving record are required in order to drive company vehicles on propertyDesired Qualities:
