The Strategic Business Unit Manager will be responsible for increasing profitability by promoting products and providing technical support within an assigned
territory.
Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Manager Duties
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Directly participate in sales efforts to close ordersCoordinate fluid power initiatives with various Branches and Regional ManagersIdentify target accounts and prospectsWork with VP of Marketing and Business Development to produce marketing materials and events promoting the SBUProvide marketing suggestions for social media posts and other digital contentAssist in the development of fluid power data collection, interchange information, case histories, documented cost savings or value-added savings, eCommerce, and application dataMaintain Crimper Lease ProgramProvide advanced-level technical application support via phone, video conference, or in personStay current on new products and technologies and educate Customers and Purvis Team Members about these new developmentsDetermine final disposition of warranty claims and work with suppliers to resolve difficult casesProduce and present technical training for Customers and Purvis Team Members about fluid power productsDetermine gaps in Tier One coverage of SBU products and recommend suppliers to fill holes in product offeringIdentify new potential Alliance Partners to improve coverage as neededTechnically vet potential Alliance PartnersOther duties as assigned by the VP of Marketing & Business Development
Requirements
Five (5) years of Fluid Power experience, hydraulics preferredStrong Customer service and communication skillsStrong work ethic and organization skills, able to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to read and understand technical drawingsAbility to multitask and manage time wellAbility to travel overnight approximately 50% of the timeCurrent Fluid Power Society Certification (or willing to work towards it)Proficiencies: Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, GoToMeetingGood driving recordBenefits
