Job Overview:
As the HeadPickleball Professional, you will be responsible for leading and managing allaspects of our pickleball programs, including coaching, running leagues,running open play, organizing events, and fostering a positive and engagingpickleball community. This role requires a combination of excellent teachingskills, leadership abilities, and a deep passion for the sport.
Key Responsibilities:Pickleball Coaching:
Provide high-quality pickleball instruction to players of varying skill levels, including private lessons, group clinics, and specialized workshops.Program Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive pickleball program that caters to beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. Create lesson plans, drills, and curriculum to enhance player skills and enjoyment.Event Organization:
Coordinate and execute pickleball tournaments, leagues, and social events. Ensure a seamless experience for participants, from registration to awards ceremonies.Community Engagement:
Foster a positive and inclusive pickleball community by actively engaging with members, organizing social gatherings, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere at the facility.Staff Management:
Oversee and mentor assistant coaches and support staff. Conduct regular training sessions and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall coaching team.Sales and Marketing:
Promote and sell pickleball programs, lessons, and events. Effectively communicate program value to expand participation and enhance outreach.Equipment Maintenance:
Monitor and maintain pickleball equipment, ensuring that all courts and playing areas are safe and well-equipped for players.Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree in sports science, physical education, or related field preferred.Must have a certification to teach Pickleball by a recognized pickleball organization.At least 1 year of experience coaching pickleball or similar sport, with a proven track record of successExperience in leading and motivating a team of coaches and support staff.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with players of all ages and backgrounds.Strong organizational, leadership and sales skills, with the ability to manage tournaments and events and oversee staff and volunteers.Knowledge of pickleball rules and regulations, as well as experience with equipment and maintenanceBasic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to move quickly around the facility to assist members and guests.
