Our client, a major entertainment/media firm located in NYC (Midtown), is looking to a Sr. Oracle Essbase and EPM Analyst/Developer. This is a full time position onsite 2 days a week position. The Senior Oracle Essbase and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Analyst Developer is a key member of the Corporate Systems team with a focus on supporting the financial decision making needs of worldwide users. This role centers around the use of the two tools used for this, namely Oracle Essbase and Oracle EPM.This role includes day to day support work as well as a range of interesting and diverse, business critical projects. There will be regular interaction with business users. Some changes will need to be made outside of office hours. This role is for someone with at least five years of hands on experience in either (or ideally) both tools. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills, with a good work ethic, be a team player and interact well with business colleagues. "can do" attitude with a focus on business outcomes is key. We are expanding our use of financial decision making and new generation planning tools and this role provides an exciting opportunity to learn and receive training in other planning / reporting software such as PowerBI.
RESPONSIBILITIESPartnering with end users to modify / develop new Essbase cubes / EPM planning functionsInvestigating and resolving Essbase / EPM issuesCompleting appropriate project documentationCarrying out on / off boarding of usersAssisting with periodic loading of dataDeveloping additional reporting in other tools such as PowerBIImplementing major and minor system updates, some of these will need to be outside of office hoursSuggesting and implementing ideas to automate repetitive tasksAnswering periodic audit queriesHelping with disaster recovery testingProviding advice and training to power users and other internal staffAdhering to the change control process and operational modelLogging of service requests with OracleParticipating in projects to move to new future planning platforms and systems

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrable hands on knowledge of Essbase and EPMAt least 5+ years experience of working with Essbase / EPMProven ability to resolve issues and develop long term and permanent solutionsKnowledge of Windows server scripting / scheduling is beneficialGood basic financial understandingExperience of Microsoft PowerBI is of benefit but is not essential, as training will be providedExperience of working in an environment governed by change controlStrong interpersonal skills, including working with a range of stakeholders and colleaguesOrganised, with a high degree of ownership and an ability to multitask and meet deadlinesPositive 'can do' attitude with a drive to deliversense of urgency and ability to work at pace to deliver solutions quickly but accuratelysystematic, logical approach to fault finding and root causeAbility and desire to learn without prompting
Salary 135-145k based upon experience
