St. Catherine Catholic School in Sebring, Florida, is actively seeking a candidate for the position of Principal beginning July 1, 2024. The principal works in collaboration with the Pastor and the Superintendent of Catholic Education for the Diocese. The mission of the school is to be a place where every child is spiritually and academically nurtured to their fullest potential, creating lifelong learners who value and live our Catholic faith.

ResponsibilitiesEstablishes an organizational structure through which working relations, lines of accountability and responsibility and communications are clearly defined.Serves as the spiritual leader of the school community ensuring a Catholic Identity and Catholic values throughout all programs and offeringsReinforces the mission and vision of the school in all policies, procedures, and programsIn collaboration with the Diocese, directs the design, implementation, and development of curriculum and ongoing accreditationWorks with the School Advisory Board, parent organizations and faculty and staff to develop strategies that ensure continued success and sustainabilityEstablishes a clear, strong and consistent policy for dealing with issues involving disciple and interactions with teachers, administration and the parent bodyMaintains a visible presence during the school day and at school-related liturgies, events and activities.Establishes accessible and open communication with parents (individual meetings, emails, programs and conferences)Attends School Board MeetingsParticipates frequently in school-sponsored parent activitiesPromotes parent participation in Sunday liturgies at the parish, and parish activitiesCollaborates with the Business Manager in formulating the school budgetWorks closely with the Pastor, Finance Council, School Board and Director of Education/Superintendent of Schools to ensure the school is meeting the budget.Ensures the school is safe, clean and well maintainedMaster's Degree or higher in Education or Education Administration is requiredLicensure in the State of Florida7-10 years of elementary school and/or administrative experience with a significant amount of experience specifically Catholic EducationA practicing Catholic and committed disciple of Jesus Christ whose faith is an integral part of their life and worldviewCollaborative leader with an accessible and approachable style that demonstrates a willingness to listen to new ideas while offering creative solutions to challengesExcellent communications skills both oral and written, including public speakingKnowledge and understanding of financial, accounting and marketing functionsAbility to articulate an educational vision that incorporates the best aspects of Catholic Education
