Job Duties:

Ensure vehicles are clean, orderly, and in safe condition.Complete maintenance requests as neededAssist BHT staff when not conducting other job dutiesAssists in assuring daily program activities; transport patients, coordinates group activities, and supervises all recreational activitiesCommunicates all pertinent information to the Lead BHT and Operations Director and Administrators.Help with coverage of vacations, sick time, etc.Record patient behavior, problems, and issues in communication log in a timely, legible, and helpful manner.Interact appropriately with patients, showing them respect while maintaining professional boundaries.Maintain professional demeanor at all times.Communicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality patient care.Provide emotional support for patients while referring them to therapy staff to deal with clinical issues.Safely transports clients in company vehicles.Reports all motor vehicle incidents to supervisor no matter how slightMaintains the offices, residences, equipment and services of Banyan Treatment Centers in a manner that preserves the dignity and provides for the comfort and safety of all individuals admitted for treatment as well as staff and visitors.Communicates general environmental observations and issues of Operations Directors and Administration.Maintains good public relation with the addition treatment community and associates.Attends inservice education programs as assigned to learn new forms, procedures, developmental skills, etc.Communicates effectively with other staff members, demonstrating the ability to work as a team member and contribute positively to the morale of staff.Accurately perform blood pressure reading on patient and report findings to nursing staff.Accurately take patient pulse and report findings to nursing staff.Have an understanding of normal as well as abnormal vital signs.Complete UDS on patients according to company policy.Test for pregnancy according to company policyCompletion of Bi-weekly EOC and quarterly EOPC vehicle inspection logsConduct monthly EOC staff quizMust complete forms required for bi-weekly and monthly reportsDemonstrates an ability to work with Substance Abuse clientsDemonstrates an ability to bond with patients and elicit respectDemonstrates ability to adapt to different types of patientsQualifications and Requirements:

Associates Degree, preferredValid Drivers License, requiredThis position requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age in compliance with motor vehicle insurance requirementsProven track record of safe driving, with a clean DMV record for 3 years6 months of experience in BHT role in a substance abuse treatment setting requiredCBHT, preferredMaintains CPR certification, requiredAbility to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammarAbility to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative solutions; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetingsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Must be able to be added to Company Vehicle PolicyMust pass the Driver’s Safety CourseMust be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hoursAbilities/Competencies:
