We are looking for a driven Cyber Security Engineer/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to play a crucial role in supporting the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). What You'll Be Doing:
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the secure operation and maintenance of systems, following established Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes. Specifically, you will:
•Assist in developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and creating Authority to Test (IATT), Authority to Connect (ATC), and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
•Address Information Assurance (IA) technical challenges using RMF to ensure compliance.
•Develop, review, and update security artifacts as needed.
•Ensure RMF requirements are met and managed effectively within the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
•Collaborate with cyber teams to review Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), providing timely and quality feedback.
•Review system audits and track corrective actions until completion.
•Perform vulnerability and risk assessments using cybersecurity expertise.
•Monitor and track Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
•Conduct cybersecurity reviews and briefings, resolving findings with the customer.
•Ensure security controls are implemented and functioning throughout the system lifecycle.
What You'll Bring:
•A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related professional experience.
•An active Secret Clearance.
•DoD 8570 IAM Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
•Familiarity with DoD's RMF and SSP processes.
Bonus Skills That Set You Apart:
•IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
•Experience managing Cyber Task Orders (CTOs) and handling mitigation and compliance.
•Knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency environment.
•Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
