Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Senior Project Manager - MEP for a Direct Placement position in Eagle Mountain, UT.
Position Summary:
If you love managing large, complex construction projects, mentoring others, and are passionate about safety, the Client has an opportunity for you as a Senior Project Manager. In this role, you will work on exciting mission-critical multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, while developing future project managers and leaders.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure your team meets or exceeds the project delivery contractually and financially.Measure and report progress, and won't just look back, but will develop tactics to make sure we stay on trackDevelop client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadershipPartner with management to develop and implement project strategiesManage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for the projectParticipate in project meetings with internal departments to discuss project schedule and issues as needed.Partner with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.Delegate work and serves as mentor to project team. Provide coaching and performance feedback as necessaryDirect and motivate teams through all phases of multiple large-scale projects. Celebrate when things go well; problem solve when they don't.Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers to prepare them for the next step in their profession in keeping with our core value "People.Utilize the latest construction industry trends and pioneer new trends as they emerge.Develop and nurture customer relationships beyond a single project at Client, we value customers for life.Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management plus 15+ years of experience managing mid to large size MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) projects after all, that's what we do!Experience working on large and complex projects with process pipingYou have extensive experience managing multiple HVAC construction projects and have a deep understanding of project financials and schedules, tracking production and managing a large project from start to finishYou know how to build the job, plan the work and drive the pre-fabrication part of the projectYou know how to plan 6-9 months down the road and know what it takes to achieve successful progress and outcomes along the wayExpert knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as all design engineering aspectExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communication with all levels of employees, clients and general contractorsProven ability to manage multiple larger complex projectsStrong public speaking abilityAbility to present proposals to clientsAuthentic leadership you're able to lead by example, with integrity and a real interest in the development of each member of your team.Be accountable and take initiative on your projects. Accountability is one of the Client's highest values.Be able to creatively solve problems. You've been in the trenches before. You know what it takes to get it
