Assistant Plant Manager
at their facility in Florida. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in the day-to-day operations of a bulk and medicated liquid feed plant, playing a key role in optimizing efficiency, safety, and profitability. The Assistant Plant Manager will ensure effective handling of orders, especially those involving small-batch, medicated products. This hands-on role also offers opportunities to contribute to regional and global projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate activities of plant employees (team of 5).Assist the Plant Manager with recruitment, training, performance management, and discipline.Enforce company policies to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.Coordinate production and receiving to ensure accurate order fulfillment.Observe operations and recommend efficiency improvements.Assist with customer service activities, serving as a customer contact alongside the Plant Manager.Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including product mixing and blending.Plan and maintain records for all medicated products.Assist with plant audits and special projects as needed.Communicate professionally with colleagues and employees, providing constructive feedback.Identify and promptly resolve problems.Maintain confidentiality and support team efforts.Skills and Expertise
3-5 years of experience as a lead/senior plant operator, preferably in agricultural liquids, feed mills, chemicals, or similar industries.Strong knowledge of staff supervision and operating equipment.Must have, or the ability to obtain, and maintain a TWIC card.Familiarity with FDA regulations.Understanding of process equipment and mechanical systems.Customer service-oriented with strong attention to detail in documentation.Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting documents and blueprints; capable of writing reports.Effective communication skills with staff, co-workers, management, and customers.Physically fit and able to work outside for extended periods in various weather conditions.Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.Forklift operation skills.Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and hazardous substances.Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning other software.Compensation : $70K-$85K, plus benefits, relocation assistance, EOE; No sponsorship available.
