Description

The Workforce Coach/Trainer will be responsible for coaching Early Career Educators and mentors to improve the overall quality of professional development and support provided to Early Career Educators and Mentors at Community Training and Workforce Development Department. Your responsibilities will include coaching, research, curriculum development, and staying up-to-date with adult education trends. This position is full-time, exempt and reports to the Workforce Project Manager.

The Community Group (TCG) is a private, nonprofit organization creating opportunities through education since 1970. TCG manages a range of programs, including a network of early childhood and out-of-school time programs, a network of charter and district public schools, consulting and training programs, and a child care resource and referral program, Child Care Circuit.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):Coaching and Training:Serve as the primary coach for a caseload of Early Career Educators and Mentors, providing guidance and support to enhance classroom practices, professional development skills and personal advancement within the field.

Professional Development Design:Conduct observations, set goals and provide feedback to enhance the professional development of educators and mentors.Assist in creation of documents used to capture the goals and outcomes required to meet grant and department initiatives.

Continuous Learning:Stay informed about the latest developments in adult education, instructional design tools, and best practice in the field.Attend workshops, conferences, and relevant training sessions to remain up-to-date and share insights with the team.

Program Enhancement:Collaborate with colleagues to recommend and provide innovative ideas for improving existing department initiatives.Assist in implementing new initiatives to address the evolving needs of Early Childcare Field related to educator shortage.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of participant progress and feedback.Work with Data Specialist to ensure accuracy of all information.

Team Collaboration:Work closely with the team to align training programs with the organization's mission and goals.

Administrative Duties:Complete any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor to support the success of the CTG's programs.

Qualifications

Alignment with The Community Group's mission and values.Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred;Proven experience in training and coaching is preferred.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (preferred).Demonstrated experience as a program administrator and/or strong project management skills.Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to build positive relationships.Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Willingness and capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies.
