Overview
Highly visible HR business partner supporting a customer and site in a multifaceted role for human resource programs, processes and associate relations.
ResponsibilitiesEffectively partner with local leadership to guide day-to-day decisions about people and foster behaviors which are consistent with Saddle Creek's valuesTimely and consistently manage associate relations, performance management, investigations, recruitment and selectionEducate teams on company and legal requirements and ensure compliance across HR functionsDotted line management of Human Resources Coordinators supporting assigned facilities whose responsibilities include hourly recruiting and onboarding, hourly time keeping and compensation, and general HR administration within the facilitySupport employee development at all levelsCoach individuals and teams to higher performanceIdentify and implement improvements in HR effectiveness and processesFacilitate change management; assist with start-upsPromote effective two-way communicationsPersonally contribute to achievement of business goalsAbility to travel for business needs (up to 20% as needed)Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required, PHR preferredAt least 3-5 years of experience in HR roles with increasing responsibilities some of which must have included HR generalist responsibilitiesExperience working in a non-union environment and executing union avoidance measures and tacticsExperience in logistics, manufacturing or similar industry preferredBilingual preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highest standards of integrity, excellence, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvementProven ability to influence all levels of HR teams, Management and other associatesSelf-starter with a strategic viewpointAbility to identify issues and implement solutionsAbility to anticipate and analyze problems, resolve issues through creative problem solving and manage multiple projects with changing prioritiesStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to adapt those skills to the audienceKnowledge of HR labor and employment law, and the ability to interpret, apply and articulate this knowledge in support of business initiativesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
