Join the NVFS Family: We are looking to hire an IPE Program Supervisor to join the NVFS Youth Initiatives team!

The IPE Program Supervisor will provide administrative oversight for the Intervention Prevention and Education (IPE) program. The IPE Program of NVFS is an asset development intervention designed to increase the protective factors that ensure that gang involved youth, and youth at risk for gang involvement, have increased abilities to resist the destructiveness of gang involvement and that their parents and community members are able to provide the support and structure needed to keep these vulnerable youth safe from the negative influence of gangs.

The Program Supervisor manages the daily operations of their department unit; identifies and assesses client and family needs; supervises case management and support staff; and coordinates service delivery to ensure that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Staff Supervision and Development:

Identify and fulfill staffing needs; work collaboratively with each staff member on talent development process to set job and development goals; approve timesheets, leave and reimbursement requests, provide or arrange and schedule ongoing staff training to enable direct service staff to deliver client service effectively.Supervise program staff including regular individual and group staff meetings and case consultation; ensure proper client to staff ratio and monitor case files for quality and completeness.Conduct regular and timely supervision according to established program guidelines.In coordination with IPE Program Manager, build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, feedback, team meetings, and team building.Identify and work with IPE Program Manager on reviewing administrative areas that are affecting direct service providers, their work with clients, and the fiscal integrity of the program.Client Service Delivery:

In coordination with IPE Program Manager, manage referrals, referral source follow-up, waitlist, and case assignmentAssign cases to direct service staff, coordinate service delivery and day-to-day operations of the IPE program.Monitor client cases from initial referral through discharge, promoting efficient and effective client services and administration procedures including adequate client record keeping, statistical and performance outcome reporting.Provide direct case work in the absence of direct service staff.Conduct individual parent meetings to clients of IPE referred and IPE involved youth who are identified to need enhanced parenting support.Provide workshops to parents and youth regarding gang prevention and gang controlled trafficking.Reviews and signs-off on client files to ensure compliance with grant requirements and best practices to ensure high quality documentation; to include review of intakes, service plans, outcomes, Apricot documentation, monthly reports and closing summaries.Program and Resource Development:

Assist in the development of new program services.Participate in contract renewals and funding applications within the scope of Agency goals and purposes as directed by Director; alert the Director of funding opportunities and assist in the development of new programs.Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of workshops and group-based activities in collaboration with Director, IPE Program Manager, and direct service staff.

Compliance and Reporting Requirements:

Ensure that service delivery is performed according to and within the NVFS mission, policy/statewide directive/procedural directions/case management model, NVFS standards, and contractual/licensing requirements. Enter data for record keeping and reporting to meet federal/state/program guidelines.Responsible for goals and objectives of contract for programs; includes NVFS outcomes and reporting.Prepare narrative and statistical reports to the Agency measuring program effectiveness; includes NVFS outcomes and reporting.Coordinate monthly reporting process including: reviewing IPE Youth Counselors’ submitted reports for accuracy and appropriateness; providing feedback to staff on their submitted reports to foster professional development of report writing skills; and ensuring that all final reports are submitted to the proper Gang Prevention Coordinator/referral source within required time frames.Monitor, evaluate, and report on service delivery effectiveness through reporting analysis on individual interventions as well as individual team members to demonstrate connections between interventions and outcomes.

Meeting and Community Outreach/Resource Participation:

Represent NVFS externally, and participates in local/regional task forces and community partnership meetings as appropriate.Act as liaison with community, civic, and business groups on behalf of program; participate in appropriate community task force committees; develop and monitor public relations within the scope of Agency mission and goals.Participate effectively and positively in required Program and Agency meetings and trainings.

Your Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice or a related field from an accredited college or universityAt least two (2) years of related direct service experience in human services, youth development, mentoring, case management, or working with at-risk youth and familiesMust have a solid understanding of and demonstrated experience with:Providing effective and supportive supervision to direct service staff;Home visiting and relevant practicesTrauma-informed service deliveryWorking with immigrant youth and families including gang dynamics

Excellent communication, data collection and reporting skillsAbility to foster an encouraging, supportive and collaborative team environmentOral and written fluency in English;

Spanish language fluencyProficiency in usage of basic technological tools including laptops/computers, email, phones, and internet; working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to demonstrate and live the organizational values of Communication, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, and AccountabilitySuccessful completion of background checks upon hireMust clear Motor Vehicle Record check, have a valid U.S. driver’s license and own transportation in order to transport clients as neededMay be called upon to work beyond normal working hours
