Project Engineer

Our client is hiring for Entry-Level Project Engineers to scope, plan, design, and execute capital projects at their production and packaging sites. Responsibilities:
Lead and execute strategic capital investment projects using TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) based Early Management Tools
Collaborate with production and packaging facilities to support Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and Focused Improvement efforts
Develop and lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for new equipment, guiding teams from concept to production
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical documentation, safety, and performance standards
Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to incorporate ergonomic and safety requirements in all equipment layouts
Manage vendor relationships to ensure all project requirements are met, including safety and financial commitments
Support the Capital Planning Process and develop detailed timelines and milestones
Work with plant teams to minimize disruptions to production and identify opportunities for efficiency
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
Desired Background/Skills:
A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and move from project to project without waiting for direction
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based role, walking up to 30-40K steps per day and lifting equipment as needed
Someone who is eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges, with a long-term vision of their career
A go-getter who has a strong work ethic, demonstrated through various experiences?whether cutting lawns, babysitting, or staying busy over the summer
Qualifications:
0-3 years of experience in Project Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or System Engineering (experience in Food, Beverage, or pharmaceutical industries preferred)
Understanding of Capital Management, including cost estimation and depreciation
Hands-on experience with TPM, Root Cause Analysis, and Factory Acceptance Testing is a plus
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Project
PMP or Six Sigma certification preferred
Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings and create detailed planning documents
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time and work in a dynamic, hands-on field environment
Valid driver?s license and ability to meet Pepsi Bottling Ventures? driving qualifications
