Hours: Full Time- 35 HoursWork Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101
The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Technology and Innovation Division seeks an Application Support Specialist to report to the Executive Director of Service Delivery. The Applications Support Specialist will be responsible for providing guidance and support for various applications and end-user training on custom-built and off-the-shelf computer applications to help end users efficiently and effectively fulfill business objectives. Responsibilities include- Technical writing skills, troubleshooting applications and software issues for all internal business units and external partners; act as a liaison between end user and project management teams to facilitate resolution of issues; perform business analysis for Technology & Innovation tasks, as needed, to help develop new applications and maintain existing; provide end-user training, documentation, and video creation for current applications, as well the testing of new or modified applications.
Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. NYC Department of Design and Construction does not provide sponsorship for international employees for visa applications, extensions or status changes, including STEM/OPT visas. Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
2. An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
4. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above.
