Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for Corporate Products and Services and additional assignments. Categories such as Temp Labor, Consulting and Professional Services, IT Software and Hardware, and more. Plan and implement activities for timely, cost-effective procurement, planning and on-time delivery of assigned category products and services. Prioritize and maintain balance between cost of acquisition and cost of possession to maximize return on investment including methodologies to maximize working capital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Supplier Sourcing•Execute global category sourcing strategies in alignment with business strategy for ~$75M annual spend using industry leading procurement processes.•Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, relationship management, and continuous improvement.•Work closely with BU teams, Finance, Engineering, and Sales & Marketing to develop category strategies and/or supporting technologies.•Develop and maintaining strong global supplier relationships, including supplier site visits and relationships at all levels of their organization.•Track and report on supplier strategies, monitor spend, business allocation, capability gap analysis and facilitate cross-functional review and evaluation.•Develop strategies for the mitigation of risk in the supply chain, overall and for specific new product programs.•Provide benchmarking studies and market analysis.•Negotiate buys & long-term agreements for materials and services.•Organize and lead regular strategic supplier business reviews.•Prepare and execute E- auctions.•Add vendor catalogs to the B2B e-procurement platform.•Project management and implementation.•Driving compliance and cost savings opportunities through data.
Category Management•Generate and present supplier performance metrics to manage associated corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.•Organize and execute regular supplier or business unit site evaluations and audits.•Perform and/or evaluate root cause problem resolution for all supplier-related issues and ensure the integrity of corrective actions.•Stay abreast of current market (category based), changing technologies, and global market trends, communicate cross-functionally and make strategic and tactical recommendations.•Negotiate high-stakes agreements and champion special procurement project initiatives.•Identify and mitigate risk, develop preferred supplier strategies, and develop supplier performance management and development initiatives and practices.•Manage and implement business unit supplier growth and development initiatives, and drive employee engagement, furthering Spend Under Management (SUM).
Process•Facilitate the support of category analysis (internal and external) to drive JBPCO's Strategic Sourcing processes.•Conduct RFX and ongoing supplier and contract management for assigned categories.•Assist in the development and enhancement of processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to drive efficiencies within the business units and corporate procurement.•Help improve processes and leverage technology to reduce costs, identify and implement best practices, and measure performance.•Contribute to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction efforts and initiatives to achieve the benefits.•Ensure the enforcement of related process and policy in collaboration with other relevant internal functions.•Create process documents, SOPs and work instructions as required.
Qualifications and Skills•5 - 7 years' experience in a Supply Chain or Procurement role related to Corporate Products and Services.•Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.•Purchasing in a Manufacturing/Engineered Product environment.•Interfacing with manufacturing, corporate functions, and program management teams.•Experience in executing Global Supply Chain initiatives and strategic planning, including indirect sourcing.•Prior ERP/MRP experience (JD Edwards preferred).•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.•Knowledge of Purchasing Law and Uniform Commercial Code.•Working knowledge of assembly & manufacturing processes.•Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiating skills.•Ability to travel domestically is up to 25%.•C.P.M., CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM certification is preferred.
