Job description:Title: UX Designer

Duration: 12 month +

Location: 100% remote KY

Description:

We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to turn our hardware and software into easy-to-use products for our workers.

The UX/UI Designer provides timely and creative solutions to end-user computer and networking problems of a complex nature to ensure end-user productivity. The UX/UI Designer work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

UX/UI Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we'd like to meet you.

The UX/UI Designer coordinates configuration/installation, updates and general trouble shooting of PC hardware and software. Responds to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment or software installations, moves and configuration changes. Maintains accurate information and data regarding end-user issues. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Ultimately, you will create both functional and appealing features that address our product team needs and help us improve our associates' technology experiences.

ResponsibilitiesGather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineersIllustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemapsDesign graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgetsBuild page navigation buttons and search fieldsDevelop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look likeCreate original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholdersIdentify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedbackAdhere to style standards on fonts, colors and imagesRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degreeLess than 5 years of technical experienceMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesProven work experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar rolePortfolio of design projectsKnowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma, Wireframe.cc, InVision)Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopProven work with Microsoft out of the box UI kits e.g. Sharepoint, Powerapps, etcTeam spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholdersProactive, curious, independent worker with good time-management skills, who will challenge others with solid UX thinking
