Your role at Sephora:
As a Senior Manager, Sourcing of Store Development - Fixtures & Construction, you will be responsible for developing strong and effective business partner relationships and providing strategic sourcing support to Sephora at an enterprise level and to the Sephora Store Development business unit. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will leverage your experience to deliver significant value to key stakeholders by managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, process compliance, executing on Sephora goals in diversity, risk and sustainability, and bringing maturity to process and governance execution. This role manages and develops one team member.
Your core category responsibilities will include but are not limited to, Retail Fixtures, Construction Services and Equipment, and Store Maintenance with the goal of supporting new and remodeled stores and driving savings through market-driven strategies and negotiations, incorporating Sustainability, Supplier Diversity, and Supplier Risk goals.
In addition, you will:Develop strong relationships with and be recognized as a valued partner by Store Development and Store Preservation stakeholders to influence business decisionsCollaborate with Finance and key stakeholders to develop strategic sourcing pipeline with well-defined cost savings and avoidance targetsAchieve year-over-year improvements in Retail Fixtures, Construction Services, Equipment, and Maintenance without sacrificing quality and serviceConduct all phases in the development of complex contracts from requirement to final contract, including gathering & reviewing requirements, executing the sourcing process (request for information (RFI), and request for proposal (RFP) development, scorecarding and supplier selection documentation) while leveraging the CoE model and processes for agility and velocityNegotiate with suppliers to optimize Sephora's position and partner with a broad mix of stakeholders on contract evaluation, redlining and final negotiation, such as Technology, Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and Internal ControlsContinually improve supplier performance by setting measurable, contractual performance targets and related supplier performance managementStay abreast of changes in the market and supplier overall health. Consider emerging business models and suppliers and evaluate and address any impact of changes in supplier status (e.g, via acquisition)Build an execute a plan to identify and evaluate diverse suppliers, to increase the percentage of Sephora's category spend with diverse suppliers and support efforts to further Sephora's sustainability goalsAdvocate for and track compliance to Sephora's Indirect Spend and Delegation of Authority policies, 3rd party risk management process ownership, building/delivering periodic training, and managing non-complianceProvide thought leadership and support to ad hoc projects optimizing Strategic Sourcing's effectiveness, for example, by proposing and implementing process improvementsStrategize across categories/departments to identify opportunities for gained efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in supplier negotiationsBuild project plans and timelines to ensure key milestones are being captured and met as it relates to the sourcing processSuccessfully complete sourcing projects on time, managing all aspects of the process including but not limited to security, privacy and financial review for value, along with final document retention in our contracts lifecycle management systemEffectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation/resolution of issuesLead, mentor, and provide oversight to a high-performing sourcing professional in supporting categories.Foster a culture of curiosity, data literacy, and continuous learning across the organization. Participating actively to improve Sephora's Sustainability, Supplier Diversity, and 3rd party Risk goals.Demonstrate Sephora values in all interactions, internally and externallyWe're excited about you if you have:
10+ years of strategic sourcing experience, with strong expertise in store development, fixtures and construction services and equipment in a multi-national retail corporationExperience in negotiating large enterprise agreements typical of your assigned category, for example, master services agreements, and statements of work, among othersExperience developing relationships and gaining buy-in with key stakeholders on category strategies, multi-year sourcing plans, supplier relationship management, continuous improvement plans, 'should-cost' models, and negotiation strategiesA proven track record of cost reduction and productivity improvements; ability to influence and drive change while building solid relationships with your internal clients and external suppliersExcellent project and timeline management skills to manage sourcing projects end-to-end, from project intake, onboarding to project closure, operationalization, and governanceExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentSkilled negotiator with a current understanding of various contract models and on-market termsAbility to successfully influence both internal and external partners and interface with senior-level stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, including oral, written, and interpersonalAdvanced analytics, excel, presentation, data visualization, and Sourcing tools skills (required)Robust understanding of various software tools critical to strategic sourcing: employee collaboration and productivity tools, procure-to-pay and vendor management solutions, e-RFX, sourcing pipeline and savings reporting, and contract lifecycle management, as examplesThe annual base salary range for this position is $124,000.00 - $165,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
