Job Title: NICET BIM, Navis Sprinkler Designer
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Designer experienced in BIM, Navis & HydraCA with a robust background in designing water-based extinguishing systems. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of design experience and a solid technical foundation in sprinkler system design, with a strong desire to advance professionally within our company. This role requires a thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards, proficiency in design software, and the ability to manage projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting:
- Design and produce NFPA-compliant submittal drawings for water-based extinguishing systems.
- Utilize AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSprink, and Navisworks for drafting and design tasks.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure designs meet project requirements and code standards.
Technical Expertise:
- Apply thorough knowledge of State Building Codes and NFPA standards including NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 16, 20, and 409 in all design activities.
- Conduct site surveys to gather necessary data for accurate system design.
Project Management:
- Oversee project management tasks including forecasting manpower needs, tracking project hours, and listing appropriate materials.
- Ensure effective prioritization of tasks and maintain high standards of quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Leadership and Professional Development:
- Demonstrate a commitment to learning and growing professionally within the company.
- Lead design projects and collaborate with team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Communication and Coordination:
- Coordinate with other professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of designs with other building systems.
- Provide clear and concise documentation and communication regarding design and project status.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience in designing water-based extinguishing systems.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in BIM, AutoCAD, HydraCAD or AutoSprink, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations.
Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of State Building Codes and NFPA standards (NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 16, 20, 409).
Abilities:
