Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated. Responsible for overseeing the sales growth and profitability of assigned National Account customers.
Responsibilities include developing national and regional programs, providing sales management and marketing support, for their respective national accounts at the national, regional and branch levels.
Working with Regional Vice Presidents, branch General Managers, Regional Sales Managers and Outside Sales Representatives maximizing national account opportunities.
Lead and support the field sales teams selling building materials and millwork, products to National Pro Dealers, Specialty Distributors and Buying groups. Assists the sales team with driving the company’s priorities and strategic initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer key influencers and decision makers at the corporate, regional and local levels. Conduct detailed discovery to understand the accounts business strategies, needs, objectives and to determine the ways in which Woodgrain can add unique value. Development of programs to support growth and profitability of all Woodgrain products. Development of annual customer incentive programs that support growth and profitability of all Woodgrain products. Review and approve customer incentive programs. Travels throughout the regions calling on assigned national account customers soliciting programs and new business. Collaborates with pricing team, product managers and branches in pricing strategies, annual programs and communicates changes/updates. Works closely with branches to resolve issues that may arise with respect to program details and pricing to meet objectives and goals. Travel to attend regional and branch meetings in support of national accounts sales and programs. Ability to create and deliver effective programs and presentations to national account customers’ senior, regional, and local management. Provide monthly updates on progress, opportunities, and challenges with national accounts. Hold quarterly customer reviews to discuss sales progress, top opportunities, roadblocks and develop next steps. Attend and support national account trade shows and meetings where appropriate. Prepares annual sales budget for respective national accounts with guidance from VP of National Accounts. Provides market intelligence on competitive situations and threats as well as new product opportunities. Build solid working relationships with internal customers (Regional Vice Presidents, General Managers, Product Management, Sales Management and Sales Teams). Build relationships with company manufactures and suppliers developing program and incentive support for their assigned National Accounts.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required, or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the building products industry, with regional or national accounts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Substantial knowledge, understanding, and positive results of sales and marketing practices. Ability to effectively develop presentations and effectively present information responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical skills and reasoning ability. Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Microsoft Suite—Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint (Intermediate and Advanced). Ability to influence at multiple levels of Customer Leadership, Company Leadership and Sales Teams. Results oriented.
Pattern of setting stretch goals, achieving results personally and through others. Ability to Travel up to 50%
