As a Paralegal, you’ll be an integral part of ensuring that Purina’s intellectual property assets are strategically developed, appropriately managed, and sufficiently protected to support the business. You'll work in close collaboration with other members of the Global Brand IP organization.
Assist with global intellectual property enforcement matters, including research and evidence gathering for lawsuits, oppositions, cancellations, and other disputes, and related correspondence with business partners and external agents
Provide guidance to Purina’s business teams concerning Brand IP, including trademark, search and clearance, trademark applications, trademark registration maintenance, and trademark usage
Responsible for Purina’s global intellectual property docket and portfolio, including management of all deadlines and necessary filings related to prosecution, enforcement matters, and renewals
Keep up to date on new legal department technology and best practices and assist in the implementation and training of the tools
Requirements
High school diploma/GED equivalent AND advanced degree or paralegal certificate
3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm and/or corporate legal department
Other
Knowledge of Intellectual Property is preferred
The approximate pay range for this position is $59,000 to $86,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
