Description
Director will identify and cultivate new high-level prospects by building and stewarding relationships with local, regional, national and global companies. Works closely with Hospital leaders, faculty and foundation leaders to launch creative initiatives capable of attracting significant new funders. Manages a team of experienced gift officers and works with them to develop work plans and pipelines to achieve individual and team goals by securing new partnerships, increasing gifts from current partners, and securing multi-year restricted and unrestricted gifts. Works with Foundation leadership and Board Members to secure major (high six and seven figure) gifts via sponsorships, named opportunities, cause-marketing programs and workplace giving. Personally responsible for raising $2-3M with a significant focus on new business development, as well leading the team to achieve a larger $5-6M+ corporate revenue goal.Qualifications

Required Skills/KnowledgeDemonstrated track record of successful fundraising activities, including identification, cultivation and solicitation of 6- to 7- figure gifts from corporate donors.Experience in navigating fundraising activities in large, complex environments with the ability to generate, plan and execute best-in-class fundraising ideas.Outstanding verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with donors, volunteers, institutional leaders, faculty and staff.Poise, initiative, energy and professional confidence is necessary .A high level of professionalism, compassion, creativity and integrity coupled with an ability to earn the confidence of a wide range of internal and external constituents.Demonstrated success building and leading volunteer and professional staff teams, leading institution-wide initiatives, and in staffing committees and boards.Experience effectively managing professional fundraising staff.Skilled in the development and use of performance data and fundraising analytics.
Functional AccountabilitiesStrategic DirectionDesign, articulate and implement a comprehensive, multi-year corporate fundraising program or fundraising strategy for prospects and donor within the team's portfolio.
Implement a system of metrics to measure and prove the success of the strategy in place including related activities, in conjunction with any specific fundraising metrics required by the Foundation
Effectively serve as a Foundation representative at a high level across the institution.
ManagementPromote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement among team members under direction.
Coach team members in effective fundraising techniques, creative implementation of strategy and devising sound solutions to problems.
Ultimate accountability for the implementation of performance metrics for any team members under their direction, and their success in reaching acceptable performance.
When necessary, recruit and retain members of the team to support the execution of fundraising strategies.
Ensure that team members effectively document activity using Foundation database tools.
Final accountability for the development of timely, compelling and accurate fundraising proposals, in conjunction with other Foundation team members.
FundraisingLead the successful identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of existing as well as prospective corporate donors, resulting in $2-5 million raised personally and $5-6 million department goal achieved; consistently deliver best-in-class fundraising.
Ensure a high level of donor satisfaction.
Personally manage and grow a portfolio of corporate prospects including significant focus on growing new business.
Appropriately support leadership and volunteers in fundraising as appropriate.
Provide a high level of service to internal and external constituent groups which may include prospective donors, current donors, board members, hospital leadership and faculty.
