Overview
VTG is seeking a
Senior Data Analyst
to support the Navy at the
Washington Navy Yard
to provide on- demand timely professional action officer and metrics support services to the Flag Officers, Executive Directors and SEA 21M. The requirement is for a proven metrics and analytics SME, and strategic action officer, to provide SEA 21M leadership with knowledge management, brief development, data analysis, and communication support to include messaging, configuration control, database management, and proactive thinking. SEA 21 integrates maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, and technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts to best manage the lifecycle of U.S. and partner Navy surface ships and systems from fleet introduction through transfer or disposal. This is a
hybrid
(2-3 days telework) role at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. What will you do?
The Sr. Data/Program Analyst will proactively and re-actively respond short and long term asking from SEA 21M Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders within the program office to bring ship availability metrics and data actions to completion, to provide quality on time products to include communication products, briefs, point papers, and analysis. Assess SEA 21M data and metrics to make recommendations on gathering, filing, controlling, and maintaining data for rapid use. Developing initiatives that focus on improved business practices as well as improved data utilization, messaging and tasker responses, and technical/program execution processes.
Do you have what it takes?
Required Skills: Active DoD Secret Clearance. Bachelor's degree in any related field of business. Naval surface ship experience preferably in maintenance and surface warfare.
7-10 Years Navy shipboard experience while being out to sea in the Navy Strong background in data analytics, including experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytic techniques.
Proficiency in leveraging data to support decision-making processes and drive operational improvements.
MS Suite – Specifically Power Point, Word, Access, and Excel (for Presentations/slides, correspondence, briefs, agendas and action items to name a few) Proactive and excellent customer service with management experience. Creative, poised, and flexible supporting TSFO leadership. Must have experience with Tableau. Preferred Skills: 7 Years DOD Civilian/Contractor management experience, prefer NAVSEA 21 Modernization and Maintenance Experience. Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $80,000-$120,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
