The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Human Cyber Risk Change Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Objectives for the Human Cyber Risk Change Management program include:

Using organizational change management principles to foster compliance with cybersecurity policies, as well as conformance with industry best practices

Determining, analyzing and interpreting factors impacting human behavior

Designing and executing strategies to facilitate adoption, and drive behavioral/cultural change

Measuring and evaluating program effectiveness

Here, you will make an impact by:

Applying structured change methodologies and leading change management activities specifically tailored to cybersecurity awareness initiatives

Working with SMEs and collaborating with stakeholders to set direction and create a change management strategy that aligns to program objectives, streamlines processes, and optimizes efficiency

Developing and implementing a change adoption framework that demonstrates value, and influences behavioral and cultural change

Assessing change impact by conducting impact analyses, assessing change readiness, identifying key stakeholders, and establishing clear objectives and timelines for realizing change

Identifying potential human-based risks, managing anticipated points of resistance and developing mitigation strategies to enhance 3M’s overall cybersecurity posture

Analyzing and understanding and changing behavior; conducting behavioral assessments; designing and implementing intervention plans to help users adopt secure behaviors

Monitoring and evaluating effectiveness, conducting assessments to measure the level of awareness, knowledge and adoption, gathering feedback from stakeholders, in addition to making necessary adjustments to improve the HCRM program

Leveraging risk scores/data analytics to gain insights into user behavior, and tracking/reporting progress for continuous improvement

Ensuring the change aligns with strategic objectives, smooth operations, compliance and regulatory requirements, as well as industry standards

Managing the change portfolio, providing project management support, including financial management, and leading a team of behavior and data analysts

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university (completed and verified prior to start) with four (4) years of experience in organizational change management/change management in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

High school diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) with eight (8) years of experience in organizational change management/change management in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Master’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology from an accredited institution

Three (3) years of experience in cybersecurity awareness with understanding of risk mitigation principles, theories, techniques, and best practices

Three (3) years of experience supporting cybersecurity organizations

Primary focus on ADKAR and other change management models as appropriate

Change management and/or cybersecurity awareness certification or designation desired (Prosci, CCMP, SSAP, SACP, CSAP)

Experienced in conducting employee surveys, culture and work process exploration

Analytically-minded, comfortable with data and tests new ideas to improve impact

Proficiency with forming complex technical messages into easy-to-understand language

Problem-solving and root-cause identification skills

Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle with ability to lead multiple priorities simultaneously and delivering initiatives on time and on budget

Experience working in a large global, multicultural organization is helpful

Work location:

Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Center in Maplewood, MN/Austin, TX at least 2 days per week)

Travel

May include up to 10% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
