You will be the “face of Amazon” with key partners driving discussions with senior technical leaders/CxO in those organizations. Your responsibilities will include owning and leveraging technical relationships to drive the ultimate success of partner projects. You will also be able to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges and map the intersection of partner needs and Amazon priorities.

As a Partner Management Solutions Architect (SA), you will collaborate with partners, customers, AWS Sales, and several other AWS teams to envision and craft, highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems while accelerating the adoption of AWS services. As a trusted partner advocate, you will help partner organizations understand best practices for advanced cloud-based solutions, enable digital transformation, and drive a cloud native culture. You will seek out opportunities to help shape and execute a technology strategy to build AWS Cloud mind-share and broaden the use of the AWS platform across a partner or customer organization. You will also have the demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
The AWS Solutions Architecture team provides an opportunity to work in an open environment that includes self-paced learning, instructor-led training, hands-on projects, and job shadowing opportunities to develop your knowledge of the AWS ecosystem of services and solutions. The ideal candidate has a curious mind, a thirst for knowledge, a desire to understand how technology works, and a love for sharing that knowledge. Travel Requirements
Open to travel within the US up to 15% as required for customer meetings.

Key job responsibilities
Own the technical strategy and execution plan for how partners will develop their AWS business practices
Manage the development and enablement of a select set of strategic partners
Manage and develop strategic relationships with the technical leadership of those specific partners to influence their growth, transformation, and technology practices on the AWS platform
Work with critical partner stakeholders to develop/strengthen/transform lines of business and practices to be cloud-centric
Assist partners to create and land go-to-market offerings
Provide guidance and best practices for executing AWS engagements
Be a thought leader and AWS evangelist by participating as a speaker in industry and partner events and by developing customer facing technical content
Influence the AWS service roadmap by being the voice of the partner with AWS service teams
Participate in the operation cadence of technical business reviews (MBR, QBR) with select partners
*10-15% Domestic Travel is required.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
Experience working with end user or developer communities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
