Computer Scientist (Senior) - CSIA

Amentum is now hiring for several Computer Scientist (Senior) positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:

Performs analyses of system requirements and develops operational software subsystems.

Develops software applications, managing projects, and evaluating new technologies.

Uses programming languages like Java, C+ and Python to create tools, automate file processing, and implement novel analysis methods.

Gathers requirements, design, and code systems like digital dissemination and production tracking systems.

Maintains and enhances existing systems, convert old programs to new languages, and integrate new capabilities like XML.

Leads cost evaluation for incremental release plan of business intelligence and cloud technology infusion.

Reworks existing Java applications in include GUI implementation, XML service implementation, compute architecture redesign.

Configures Cisco routers, switches and Taclane encryption devices (as applicable).

Develops new products or solving practical computing problems.

Conducts research involving experimentation and modeling.

Works as part of a research team with programmers, IT professionals, and mechanical, electrical, or software engineers to solve problems and create new products.

Monitors and maintains district SharePoint (as applicable).

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related field.

Minimum 10 years of working experience in the programming of Encryption Algorithms, design experience to include; Reprogrammable Single Chip Encryptor (RESCUE).

Experience with the NSA Certification process of cryptographic products.

Minimum 10 years of working experience in Tactical Secure Voice Cryptographic Interoperability Specification (TSVCIS).

Experience in real-time operating systems, distributed systems, timing and sizing analysis, performance analysis, data base design and management, and resource utilization assessment is essential.

Background in machine and assembly languages is essential. Must have advanced experience in software engineering and programming for large computers, minicomputer and microprocessor based applications.

Must have expertise in requirements analysis, design, and coding methodologies; data base design approaches; documentation standards; configuration management; DOD software policy; and DOD test and evaluation requirements.

Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the Army CIO/G6 programmatic requirement.

Demonstrated ability in Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Past experience working in C5ISR an CSIA.

Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $125,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
